Reporting To: Director of Human Resources
Compensation: $60k- $75k
What You'll Do
Precision Talent Partners has been retained by an established Rochester-based energy and infrastructure organization to identify a Human Resources Coordinator to join its team. Operating within a large, complex industrial environment, this organization provides critical energy, utility, and infrastructure services that support the day-to-day operations of manufacturing and commercial businesses across the region.
Behind those operations is a diverse workforce spanning technical, operational, field, and corporate functions and that's where this opportunity comes in. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator will play an important role in the day-to-day employee experience while gaining exposure across nearly every area of HR. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of HR or related experience who is ready to broaden their experience, take ownership, and continue growing their HR career.
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain employee personnel files, HRIS records, and HR documentation.
- Prepare employment-related forms, letters, communications, and correspondence.
- Audit employee records and HR data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support HR reporting, data entry, compliance documentation, and special projects.
- Track employee training, certifications, licenses, and other workforce requirements.
- Post job openings and support applicant tracking activities.
- Coordinate interviews and communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- Facilitate background checks, drug screenings, reference checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate new hire orientation.
- Help ensure every new employee has an organized and positive start with the company.
Benefits & Employee Support
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and related documentation.
- Support annual open enrollment and employee communications.
- Respond to routine questions regarding benefits, payroll, HR programs, policies, and processes.
- Serve as an approachable first point of contact for employees needing HR support.
Employee Experience & Community Engagement
- Help coordinate employee recognition, engagement, and wellness initiatives.
- Organize opportunities for employees to volunteer and participate in the local community.
Recruiting with Purpose, Precision, and Partnership
- Coordinate wellness programs, employee events, and other company initiatives.
- Support internal communications and company-wide events.
- Coordinate employee birthday and anniversary recognition programs.
HR Compliance & Coordination
- Maintain required employment records and documentation.
- Assist with audits and compliance-related reporting.
- Monitor required employee training and communicate upcoming requirements.
- Handle sensitive employee, payroll, and company information with a high level of confidentiality.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, benefits, payroll, administrative support, or a related function.
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while staying accurate and responsive.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience working within an HRIS system.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and meet deadlines.

- Exposure to recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, or employee engagement.
- Experience supporting both office and field-based employees.
