LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization. This position will support day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle and partner closely with HR leadership to promote a positive employee experience, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate HR records.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and requests, providing timely and professional support
- Assist with employee relations inquiries, documentation, exit interviews, and offboarding processes
- Communicate HR initiatives, policy updates, benefits information, and company programs to employees
- Support engagement initiatives that promote employee satisfaction and retention
- Partner with managers and supervisors to support effective communication and employee relations practices
Compliance & HR Administration
- Maintain employee personnel files and ensure confidentiality and compliance with federal/state requirements
- Support HR compliance efforts including E-Verify, COBRA initiation, FMLA and Leave of Absence requests, ACA reporting, and required workplace postings
- Assist with unemployment claims responses, employment verifications, and documentation requests
- Maintain accurate HRIS data including attendance, training records, benefits updates, and employee status changes
- Support Affirmative Action and EEO-1 reporting processes as needed
Benefits Administration
- Assist with benefits administration including change reporting, invoice review, claims support, and employee communication
- Ensure accurate processing of benefit enrollments, terminations, and employee updates
Reporting & Auditing
- Compile HR reports and generate data from HRIS systems as needed
- Support audits related to payroll, benefits, salary adjustments, and compliance tasks
- Monitor and maintain documentation for salary increases/adjustments
- Assist with recruiting efforts for exempt/non-exempt roles and temporary staffing needs
- Coordinate onboarding processes and conduct new employee orientations
- Deliver safety training materials to new hires and ensure completion documentation is captured
Safety Support
- Promote and reinforce the company’s safety culture
- Ensure proper distribution and documentation of safety training and PPE requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of related HR experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong knowledge of HR administrative functions and general employment practices
- General understanding of federal and state employment laws
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with employees at all levels
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism, integrity, and discretion
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- aPHR, PHR, or SPHR certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
- Experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools
Performance Expectations (KPIs may include)
- Timely completion of monthly HR reporting
- High accuracy in benefits processing, onboarding, and employee data entry
- Timely completion of compliance-related tasks (ACA, postings, documentation, etc.)
- Strong employee satisfaction and responsiveness to internal HR requests
- Consistent completion of required HR training and continuing education
