Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support HR Managers and the Director in recruitment, training, and employee relations. You will serve as the liaison between the community and corporate HR, handling benefits, Workday, payroll, and related data entry for new hires.

The role emphasizes benefits coordination, employee communications, recruitment participation, and maintaining compliant records while partnering with managers to resolve issues and administer staff

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year HR‑related experience or equivalent education.
• Experience with an HRIS program, Workday preferred.
• PHR or SHRM (CP) certification desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor benefits plans for health, EAP, tuition reimbursement, and retirement programs.
• Develop and/or implement community-specific employee communication to enhance the understanding and appreciation of benefits programs.
• Participate in recruitment activities (career fairs, college fairs, open houses, etc.).
• Serve as the principal contact for newly hired employees, including processing new hire paperwork and background checks.
• Provide consultative end‑user transaction processing guidance in Workday and UKG.
• Coordinate staff development programs, including new employee orientation.
• Assist in responding to employee relations issues in partnership with the line manager.
• Enter employment‑related transaction data into Workday from source documents.

Location: Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Human Resources Coordinator. In this role, you would be responsible for supporting the HR Managers and Director in all aspects of the department (recruitment, training, employee relations), as well as overseeing and/or facilitating various special projects independently. Serves as the principal liaison between the community and the corporate office for HR related issues (benefits, Workday, payroll). Plays a key role in workforce administration and often serves as the primary contact for newly hired employees.

How you will make an impact

• Coordinate and monitor benefits plans for health, EAP, tuition reimbursement, and retirement programs.
• Develop and/or implement community-specific employee communication to enhance the understanding and appreciation of benefits programs.
• Participate in recruitment activities (i.e., career fairs, college fairs, open houses, etc.).
• Serves as the principal contact for newly hired employees, including processing new hire paperwork, coordinating required medical testing, inputting background checks to appropriate agencies, and ensuring compliance to government and organization recordkeeping requirements.
• Provide consultative end‑user transaction processing guidance in systems such as Workday and UKG.
• Coordinate and/or facilitate staff development programs, including new employee orientation.
• Assists in responding to employee relations issues in partnership with the appropriate line manager/supervisor.
• Enter employment‑related transaction data into the Workday system from source documents during the new hire/recruitment process.
• Maintains electronic employee files.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• May organize campus Benefits Fair as an introduction for Open Enrollment.
• Assists with all‑staff monthly meetings.
• May perform timecard audit reporting and follow‑up, order office supplies, and coordinate drug screening as needed.
• May enter employment‑related transaction data into the Workday system from source documents during the new hire/recruitment process and serve as primary liaison between Workday division and the community.

What you will need

• Minimum of 1 year of HR‑related experience or equivalent education.
• Experience with an HRIS program, Workday preferred.
• PHR or SHRM (CP) certification desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Outstanding verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
