Cacique Foods in Amarillo, TX seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support across HR functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will assist recruiting, onboarding, employee records, payroll and benefits, compliance, and employee engagement, partnering with plant leadership and corporate HR to improve HR operations.

This full-time role requires strong organization, confidentiality, and communication skills to support a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in HR, business admin, or related field is required.
  • 2-4 years HR, payroll, recruiting, or admin experience; manufacturing/CPG preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and HR best practices.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate hourly and salaried recruiting activities.
  • Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout hiring process.
  • Conduct pre-employment activities including background checks and drug screens.
  • Prepare and administer offer letters and new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Maintain onboarding checklists and ensure documentation completion.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records.
  • Process employee status changes including promotions, transfers, pay changes, and terminations.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
  • Address questions about policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
  • Generate HR reports and workforce metrics as requested.
  • Assist with timekeeping audits and payroll data collection.
  • Support payroll processing by verifying attendance and changes.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and open enrollment activities.
  • Maintain benefit and leave administration records.
  • Assist with employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Support investigations and documentation of employee relations issues.
  • Coordinate employee communications and HR-related events.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations; maintain I-9, EEO, FMLA, ADA records.
  • Support OSHA reporting and workers' compensation administration.
  • Assist with policy administration and handbook updates.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training.

SUMMARY:The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support across all HR functions in a fast-paced CPG manufacturing environment. This role supports recruiting, onboarding, employee records, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement. The HR Coordinator partners with plant leadership, employees, and corporate HR to support efficient HR operations and foster positive employee experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Coordinate hourly and salaried recruiting activities
  • Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Conduct pre-employment activities including background checks, drug screens, and employment verification
  • Prepare and administer offer letters and new hire documentation
  • Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding
  • Maintain onboarding checklists and ensure completion of required documentation

Employee Records & HR Administration

  • Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records
  • Process employee status changes including promotions, transfers, pay changes, and terminations
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee information
  • Address employee questions about policies, benefits, and HR procedures
  • Generate HR reports and workforce metrics as requested

Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Assist with timekeeping audits and payroll data collection
  • Support payroll processing by verifying attendance, PTO, and employee changes

Employee Relations

  • Assist with employee engagement and recognition programs

  • Maintain I-9, EEO, FMLA, ADA, and other required employment records
  • Support OSHA reporting and workers' compensation administration
  • Assist with policy administration and employee handbook updates
  • Participate in safety meetings and training initiatives

Training & Development

  • Assist in maintaining training records and certifications
  • Assist managers with onboarding and development programs
  • Support performance review administration and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Minimum 2-4 years of HR, payroll, recruiting, or administrative experience; Manufacturing or CPG industry experience preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processes preferred
  • Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and HR best practices
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
