GEODIS is seeking an HR professional in North Las Vegas to ensure legal compliance, manage recruitment, onboarding, and personnel transactions, and lead training programs across the organization.

You will advise management on employee relations, administer performance and salary reviews, oversee benefits, and conduct exit interviews to improve retention and engagement.

Formación

• Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent education.
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• PHR, SPHR or GPHR certified preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and reporting regulations affecting HR and ensures compliance.
• Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
• Tracks personnel transactions for government reporting and employee statistics.
• Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and harassment.
• Advises management in resolution of employee relations issues.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Administers performance and salary review programs for equity and effectiveness.
• Administers benefits programs such as insurance, pension plans, vacation, and leave.
• Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons for separations.
• Manages subordinates and directs unit performance in line with policies and laws.
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work of subordinates.

Your role on the team:

• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
• Keep track of Personnel transactions such as: new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
• Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
• Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
• Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
• Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Manages subordinates, such as Human Resources Coordinator, Human Resources Generalist and/or Manager Campus Human Resources
• Directs, coordinates, and evaluates the assigned unit(s) by carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees
• Plans, assigns, and directs work of subordinates to include performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

What you need:

• Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• PHR, SPHR or GPHR certified preferred.

Bonus if you have:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
