Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to administer programs across all phases of human resources. The role focuses on HR compliance, employee relations, onboarding, and recruiting activities to support a seamless workforce.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of related experience, with a knack for coordinating training, onboarding, and recruitment initiatives within a logistics context.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.
• Advises supervisors and managers on resolution of employee relations issues.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientations and hand-offs to operations.
• Facilitates and documents employee engagement meetings.
• Partners with HR leadership to ensure resolution plans for critical issues.
• Leads supervisory and management training on HR topics.
• Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Manages non-exempt and exempt recruiting activities, including organizing job fairs.

Your role on the team:

• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions


• Advises front line supervisors and managers on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues


• Plans and conducts new employee orientations to foster positive attitude toward company goals and an effective hand-off to operations


• Facilitates and documents employee engagements meetings


• Partners with HR leadership to ensure critical or recurring issues have a resolution plan


• Leads supervisory and management training specific to HR-related topics


• Responds to employee inquiries of moderate complexity regarding policies, procedures and programs


• Manages non-exempt recruiting activities and exempt recruiting through first level supervisory roles, including organizing and executing job fairs

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience


• Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
