Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our university segment. This role partners with leaders to shape workforce strategies, coach teams, and ensure HR practices are compliant, effective, and aligned with business goals.

The ideal candidate will manage people, oversee performance and pay discussions, support onboarding and acquisitions, and lead HR operations including benefits and payroll while using data to drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 5 years of management experience are required.
• 3–5 years of related HR experience.
• Residence in CA, OR, WA, ID, HI or KS, OK, AR, MS, LA, TX or bordering state is required.
• Willingness to travel 20–30%.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to shape workforce strategies and align HR practices with business goals.
• Support employees and coach managers on performance, engagement, and workforce planning.
• Oversee onboarding, acquisitions, and change initiatives; handle performance evaluations and pay reviews.
• Lead HR operations including benefits, payroll, and records management; ensure compliance with policies and laws.

Bring your HR expertise to a role that’s equal parts strategy and support. In this position, you'll partner closely with business leaders to shape workforce strategies, coach teams, and ensure HR practices are aligned, compliant, and effective making a measurable impact every step of the way.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Pay Range:

$115940 - $180070

Incentive Eligibility:

Eligible to participate in Sodexo's incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary
