We are looking for a human‑resources‑business‑partner role that will focus on supporting the Heartland Division (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota and Oklahoma), with an ideal candidate located in the St. Louis, MO area. We want an HR Business Partner (HRBP) who is eager to help build our organization into a premier employment destination. In this role you will evaluate programs, recommend improvements, and develop training tools and systems to better support our teammates. You will act as a single point of contact for multi‑site operations in your region(s), delivering high‑quality HR expertise on company policies, procedures, and benefits. Expert knowledge of labor laws, regulations, benefit administration, conflict management, and all aspects of people operations is desired. Since this role requires travel, be prepared for regional coverage.
Play an active role in recruiting and onboarding new employees in your region(s), including candidate sourcing, welcoming new hires, completing paperwork and orientation.
Consult with operational management to provide HR guidance, focusing on training, coaching, and mentoring supervisors and managing employee satisfaction across the region(s).
Maintain a strong understanding of company benefits and handbook policies, and resolve employee relations issues with credibility and confidentiality.
Drive local employee engagement initiatives and provide staff support.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal requirements for day‑to‑day employee management to reduce risk and ensure compliance. Partner with Legal on more complex matters.
Assist with performance management, conflict resolution, investigations, employee meetings, and corrective action, ensuring proper documentation. For complex issues, collaborate with HR Director, CPO, and Legal.
Build and maintain positive, trustworthy relationships across all organizational levels to improve morale, productivity, and retention.
Diagnose and prioritize workforce needs, advise on business unit restructures and succession plans.
Provide HR policy guidance and support initiatives such as 90‑Day reviews, annual performance reviews, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Service Awards, Benefit Open Enrollment, and other people‑focused initiatives.
Create and maintain employee personnel files, keeping documentation of issues and investigations, and maintain I‑9 files in line with company policies.
Assist with employment verifications, payroll questions, FMLA, leaves of absence, 401(k), and personnel‑related audits.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of HR generalist/coordinator experience.
Multi‑site healthcare leadership or HR support experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledgeable of administrative practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines related to employment, wages, hours, and labor relations.
High level of accuracy, dependability, responsiveness, and dedication to customer service.
Must be willing to work in a clinic environment 75% of the time (majority travel by car), 25% remotely. Overnight travel may be required depending on region. Reliable transportation and a good driving record are required.
Experience with HRIS and ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may expose employees to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards, or toxic substances. Daily activities include standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
