Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners seeks an on-site HR Business Partner for a Pittsburgh-area consumer products manufacturer in Oakmont, PA. You will be the go-to HR resource at the plant, partnering with plant management and supporting hourly and salaried staff.

The role offers growth opportunities beyond the site, with a plan to expand HR oversight across multiple locations. A strong background in manufacturing HR and labor relations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in HR within manufacturing or warehousing.
• Union environment experience preferred; strong candidates without it who show they can pick it up will be considered.
• Able to handle sensitive employee matters independently and escalate when warranted.
• Builds trust easily with everyone from the floor to the front office.
• Must be local; relocation is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees.
• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, performance conversations, and conflict.
• Work alongside corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations.
• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention.
• Keep the site in line with employment law and company policy.
• Stay visible on the production floor so employees know who to come to.
• Help roll out HR systems and process improvements.
• Report site trends and concerns up to HR leadership.

Overview

A multi-site consumer goods manufacturer needs an on-site HR lead for one of its smaller plants in the Pittsburgh region. The parent organization runs several facilities across the country, and this person would be the go-to HR resource at this location, partnering with plant management and spending real time with hourly and salaried staff.

The company sees this as a stepping stone. The long‑term plan is for this role to grow into HR oversight across more than one site.

What the Job Involves

• Act as the single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees
