Job summary

United Future in Oakmont, PA, is seeking an on-site HR Business Partner for a manufacturing plant with ~80 staff. You will partner with plant management, drive recruiting, onboarding, and retention while ensuring compliance with employment law and company policy.

You will coach leaders on employee relations, performance conversations, and conflict, and collaborate with corporate HR on labor relations and union matters. This is a growth‑oriented, on-site role with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in HR within manufacturing or warehousing.
• Union environment experience preferred; capable of learning quickly.
• Able to handle sensitive matters independently.
• Builds trust across floor to front office.
• HRIS experience a plus; involvement in implementation.

• Serve as single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees.

Overview

A multi-site consumer goods manufacturer needs an on-site HR lead for one of its smaller plants in the Pittsburgh region. The parent organization runs several facilities across the country, and this person would be the go-to HR resource at this location, partnering with plant management and spending real time with hourly and salaried staff.

The company sees this as a stepping stone. The long‑term plan is for this role to grow into HR oversight across more than one site.

What the Job Involves
