Drive People Strategy in Aerospace as an HR Business Partner
Location: Kinston, NC | Compensation: $42 - $45 per hour

About the Role
As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a key advisor to leadership, enhancing organizational performance through strategic guidance, data-backed insights, employee advocacy, and expert change management.
You will collaborate closely with teams in an aerospace manufacturing environment, utilizing your skills to bolster workforce performance, leadership development, organizational structure, and a robust company culture.
This position requires a high level of self-direction, the ability to resolve complex HR issues, and the capacity to serve as a mentor within the HRBP team.
Strategic HR Partnership
- Cultivate deep relationships with business leaders to influence critical people-related decisions.
- Analyze HR challenges to create practical, business-aligned solutions that improve organizational outcomes.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of the People strategy for your assigned business unit.
- Provide expert counsel to management regarding workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership development.
- Transform complex business and workforce data into clear, actionable insights.
- Apply independent judgment to ensure all actions align with company policies and standards.
- Identify emerging workforce trends to help foster a more productive and collaborative work environment.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in every employee interaction.
- Ensure employee concerns are addressed with empathy and efficiency to improve workplace morale.
- Execute thorough HR investigations and collaborate with leadership to determine appropriate resolutions.
- Mentor managers on performance management techniques to build stronger, high-performing teams.
- Utilize focus groups and engagement surveys to gain a deeper understanding of the employee experience.
- Interpret HR policies to ensure the organization remains compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support community outreach and workforce development programs to enhance the company's local presence.
Change Management & HR Programs
- Drive change management initiatives to help staff successfully navigate organizational transitions.
- Convert departmental goals into clear recommendations for HR Centers of Excellence (COEs).
- Act as a liaison between COEs and business units to facilitate the development of scalable HR programs.
- Engage in cross-divisional HR projects to support broader organizational goals.
- Lead organizational design efforts to improve team dynamics and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop innovative solutions to resolve complex operational challenges.
- Complete additional tasks and projects as required.
Your Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist, HRBP, or COE capacity.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems such as ADP, Workday, or SAP.
- Proven ability to provide guidance to leadership while managing complex employee relations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and company policies.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to drive team success.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in an aerospace manufacturing facility.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
- This role involves access to ITAR/EAR-controlled technologies, requiring candidates to be U.S. Persons or possess the necessary export licenses.
Preferred
- 3+ years of experience within the aerospace sector.
- 3+ years of experience operating in a multifunctional international business environment.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly desirable.
- Experience in leadership development, workforce planning, and change management.
- Background working within a production or manufacturing setting.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
