Allegiance Crane & Equipment - HR Business Partner

Allegiance Crane & Equipment is a leading employer in the crane industry, currently seeking an HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team at our headquarters in the Clear Lake area near NASA. The role also requires working at our Houston branch near the Houston ship channel.

Essential Responsibilities

• Consult with managers and supervisors to promote high team performance and foster a positive, team-oriented culture.
• Maintain proper documentation on employee relations issues and counseling.
• Handle unemployment claims and SUI notices.
• Recruit for all positions, both field and office, with a focus on heavy recruiting.
• Ensure effective onboarding processes.
• Support workforce planning for temporary and ongoing staffing needs.
• Coordinate temporary project workers with labor agencies as needed.
• Order and monitor pre-employment background checks and drug tests, and coordinate start dates with branches.
• Assist the VP of HR in managing regional compensation.
• Manage leaves of absence within the region.
• Conduct open enrollment activities and meetings.

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience; certifications like PHR, SPHR, SCP, CP are a plus.
• Previous HR experience in the downstream or project industry is preferred.
• At least 1 year of recruiting experience, with approximately 50% of the role dedicated to recruiting.
• Minimum of 2 years in an HR role.
• Ability to travel up to 25% across the Gulf Coast region.
