Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. seeks an HR Generalist to partner with regional management and deliver value-added HR services. The role involves coaching, policy development, and resolving employee relations issues with a compliant, ethical approach.

Responsibilities include investigations, performance guidance, talent management support, and collaboration with the legal department as needed. Travel to worksites required quarterly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SC or PHR or SPHR credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
  • At least two years of experience with resolving employee relations issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of benefits, payroll administration, compensation practices, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Bilingual preferred

  • Coaches and mentors regional management.
  • Conducts regular meetings with regional teams.
  • Provides HR guidance to area management when appropriate.
  • Analyses trends and metrics with HR to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues through investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to area management.
  • Works with management to improve work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
  • Supports talent management including interviewing, onboarding, promotions, and transfers.
  • Identifies training needs for regional partner groups and communicates to training and development department.
  • Required to visit worksites at least quarterly.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
