Job summary

CB Partners, LLC is seeking an HR Business Partner focused on employee relations, labor relations, and HR compliance. You will partner with business leaders, conduct investigations, and support compliance audits while contributing to workforce planning and organizational change.

The role requires commuting onsite Monday through Thursday, with a strong background in employment law and union/collective bargaining experience. A bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• 6+ years HR experience with a focus on employee relations and compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Union and collective bargaining agreement experience preferred.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, conduct investigations, witness interviews, and prepare documentation.
• Administer collective bargaining agreements, including grievance coordination, contract compliance, arbitration preparation, and labor-management meeting support.
• Partner with managers on performance, attendance, workforce planning, and organizational changes.
• Support performance reviews and manager training.
• Conduct stay and exit interviews and report trends to leadership.
• Lead HR compliance audits, maintain policies and build workforce reports and dashboards.

I am partnered with a privately owned, family-run company in the transportation and logistics industry is seeking an HR Business Partner focused on Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and HR Compliance. This established, financially stable organization has operations across the country and continues to grow. You'll join a strong HR team, partner directly with business leaders, and work alongside a leader who is invested in your professional development.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, conducting investigations and witness interviews, and preparing documentation, corrective actions, PIPs, and separation documents
• Administer collective bargaining agreements, including grievance coordination, contract compliance, arbitration preparation, and labor-management meeting support
• Partner with managers on performance, attendance, workforce planning, and organizational changes, and support performance reviews and manager training
• Conduct stay and exit interviews and report trends and recommendations to leadership
• Lead HR compliance audits, maintain policies and procedures, and build workforce reports and dashboards
• Support due diligence and integration of newly acquired operations

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 6+ years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations and compliance
• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
• Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues at all levels
• Union and collective bargaining agreement experience strongly preferred
• Experience in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or other industrial environments preferred
• Experience in a family-owned or privately held company a plus
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
• Strong communication, coaching, and analytical skills
• Starting salary of approximately $102,000 - $113,000, plus an annual discretionary bonus
