Salary range: $20 - $28 / hr (based on experience)

Position Overview

The HR Assistant is responsible for managing recruiting and day-to-day human resources operations within the facility. This role supports HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities include onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, employee relations, performance management, and retention efforts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing Human Resources activities within the facility.
  • Support retention programs and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in retention bonus programs where applicable.
  • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations, reviewing policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Enter new hires into payroll systems and serve as the point of contact during the transition period.
  • Maintain positive relationships with other departments to meet HR needs.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and related documentation.
  • Manage FMLA and leave of absence processes, ensuring employees receive required notices.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees, addressing issues tactfully and appropriately.
  • Foster a warm, positive, and calm environment throughout the facility.
