Job summary

Fleet Landing is seeking an Human Resources Assistant Manager to lead full-cycle recruitment and support HR operations at its Atlantic Beach campus. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, business or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with significant recruitment responsibility.
• Experience handling employee relations and leave administration.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC and workers’ comp regulations.
• Experience with HRIS and ATS required; professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for assigned departments.
• Advise managers on policy interpretation, performance coaching, and disciplinary procedures.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and recognition events.
• Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Oversee FMLA and other protected leaves in compliance with policy.
• Coordinate onboarding in HRIS and partner with Payroll on changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a professional, responsive resource for employees and leaders.
• Lead and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned departments.
• Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates.
• Monitor recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, vacancy trends, and candidate flow; prepare reports and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives and recognition events that support morale and retention.
• Respond to employee relations matters, conduct investigations as appropriate, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise managers on policy interpretation, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary procedures.
• Support conflict resolution efforts and promote a positive, compliant workplace culture.
• Assist with facilitation of New Hire Orientation as needed.
• Lead or participate in HR-related projects requiring research, analysis, and implementation.
• Partner with the Human Resources Manager to administer and oversee FMLA and other protected leave programs in compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
• Enter new hires into the HRIS system and ensure onboarding documentation is accurate and complete.
• Partner with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of employment changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with significant recruitment responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience handling employee relations matters and leave administration.
• Working knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, and workers’ compensation regulations.
• Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems required.
• Professional certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
