Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED . Some relevant college courses or certifications.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including direct support to a manager or department.
  • Must demonstrate experience in office coordination, including prioritizing tasks and managing workflow to ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information and situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • Previous experience working with an HR Team.

Position Purpose

Provide high-level administrative support to the Director of Employee Relations and the Manager of Learning and Professional Development within a dynamic higher education environment. This position is essential in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining confidentiality, and enabling strategic initiatives. This position will provide support in the areas of document preparation, meeting support, case management assistance, union/labor relations activities, performance management, and communication and liaison tasks. The position also plays a key role in advancing campus-wide professional development efforts by supporting the creation of training materials, coordinating learning opportunities, and tracking participation and progress across multiple administrative departments.
