Job summary

  • Scan documents and assist with open records requests as needed.
  • Prepare purchase orders, wire transfers, direct disbursement requests, and deposits as needed.
  • Coordinate with Communications to highlight HR events and initiatives.
  • Maintain and update the HR department website with accurate information.

Job description

This position serves as a first point of contact within the department, responsible for providing a high level of administrative and technical support and providing a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers. Duties include assisting in the preparation of new hire paperwork and new employee orientation, e.g., entering information online to confirm authorization to work; creating and printing employee badges; completing employment verifications; providing scheduling assistance and reserving rooms for meetings; and scanning documents as needed. Duties also include assisting with open records requests; preparing purchase orders, wire transfers, direct disbursement requests and deposits as needed; coordinating with the Communications Department to highlight human resources events and initiatives; and maintaining and updating the HR department website to ensure accurate information. A high school diplomaor equivalent and two years of related administrative or human resources experience required. Municipal or public sector experience and Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are beneficial.

PAY GRADE GG12 / FULL PAY RANGE $19.80 - $27.92 PER HOUR
