The Equus Group is seeking an HR Assistant to support recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, and team coordination. This role is ideal for an organized, proactive administrative or HR professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment.

You will handle interview scheduling, onboarding tasks, calendar management, and HR communications while supporting a growing HR function. Bachelor's degree is preferred and 3+ years in a related role. The position offers hands-on growth within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate interview scheduling across candidates, recruiters, and hiring teams.
  • Communicate interview details and logistics with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate conference rooms, Zoom/Teams links, and interview logistics.
  • Maintain candidate tracking and interview status throughout the process.
  • Build and update recruiting trackers and flag bottlenecks.
  • Support onboarding with new hire communications and related tasks.
  • Manage the shared HR calendar and events.
  • Monitor and triage the shared HR inbox and route inquiries.
  • Organize HR folders, documents, and resources.
  • Assist with HR communications and internal content.
  • Coordinate employee milestone communications and initiatives.
  • Support internal newsletters, leadership programs, and HR events.
  • Assist with compliance projects and training tracking.
  • Support employee programs through coordination and administration.
  • Provide operational support across HR programs and projects.
  • Take on additional priorities to support the HR team.

We are partnering with a leading financial services firm to identify an HR Assistant to join its growing Human Resources team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, proactive HR or administrative professional who enjoys being at the center of a fast-moving team and wants to build their career within Human Resources. The role will provide broad exposure across recruiting, onboarding, HR operations, employee programs, and team coordination.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership, has exceptional attention to detail, communicates well, and is comfortable jumping between priorities. This is a hands-on role within an entrepreneurial environment where no two days look exactly the same, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the team and function continue to evolve.

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate interview scheduling across candidates, recruiters, and hiring teams, ensuring timely and conflict-free scheduling
  • Communicate interview details and logistics clearly with candidates and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate conference rooms, Zoom/Teams links, and other interview logistics
  • Maintain accurate candidate tracking and interview status throughout the hiring process
  • Build and update recruiting trackers and proactively flag outstanding items or bottlenecks
  • Support onboarding by preparing new hire communications and completing related administrative tasks
HR Operations & Team Support
  • Manage the shared HR calendar, ensuring key meetings, deadlines, and events are organized and up to date
  • Monitor and triage the shared HR/recruiting inbox, routing questions and requests to the appropriate team members
  • Organize and maintain shared HR folders, documents, and resources
  • Assist with HR communications and internal content, including new hire announcements, employee events, and other updates
  • Coordinate employee milestone communications and other employee initiatives
  • Support internal newsletters, leadership programs, and HR events
  • Assist with compliance-related projects and required training tracking
  • Support employee programs through tracking, coordination, and administration
  • Provide administrative and operational support across a variety of HR programs and projects
  • Jump in on additional priorities and projects as needed to support the broader HR team
What They're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative, coordination, or HR support role
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
