Job summary

George Mason University’s Human Resources is seeking a part-time HR Assistant to support executive scheduling, learning programs, and organizational development initiatives within the Talent Development Center of Excellence.

The role requires strong data management, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills; duties include LMS administration, coaching dashboard support, and providing virtual meeting support.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate executive scheduling across multiple calendars and manage priorities.
  • Provide administrative support to the AVP and Chief Learning Officer.
  • Create and maintain a coaching dashboard and manage coaching program evaluations.
  • Post trainings in the LMS, manage registrations, run attendance reports, and update learning communities.
  • Provide technical support for virtual meetings, including Zoom moderation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

About the Position

George Mason University’s Human Resources office is looking for apassionate and enthusiastic individual to serve as a part-timeHuman Resources Assistant. This role will support executivescheduling and support initiatives across the Talent DevelopmentCenter of Excellence (CoE), including workplace coaching, facultyand staff engagement, and organizational development andlearning.

Responsibilities
  • Executive scheduling for multiple busy calendars, and managingpriorities in a timely and professional manner;
  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Vice Presidentand Chief Learning Officer, including day-to-day management ofmultiple talent development projects;
  • Create and maintain a coaching dashboard, including managingthe evaluation process for coaching services and providingadministrative support to the Coaching Manager as needed;
  • Utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) to post trainings,manage registrations, run attendance reports, and update learningcommunities;
  • Provide technical support for virtual meetings, includingmoderating Zoom meetings; and
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with data management;
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Effective interpersonal communication and customer serviceskills, including tact and diplomacy;
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, follow through, andbe flexible;
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive informationwith discretion and professionalism;
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;and
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse individuals with differingneeds at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a Human Resources setting;
  • Higher education or public workforce experience;
  • Demonstrated experience managing executive schedules in MSOutlook;
  • Experience with Project Management tools or methodologies;and
  • Qualtrics and/or learning management systems experience highlypreferred.
