Job summary

Rigaku Americas in Auburn Hills, MI seeks an experienced Human Resources Advisor to serve as a trusted advisor to regional GMs and senior leaders. In a global environment, you will provide strategic and operational HR support in leadership development, talent management, succession planning, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change management, compliance, and policy administration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in HR, business admin, organizational development, psychology or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR experience with business leaders and employees.
  • Experience supporting executive/senior leadership teams.
  • Experience facilitating leadership development programs and employee learning activities.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters.
  • Knowledge of federal/state/multi-country employment laws.
  • Strong MS Office proficiency and HR data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

  • Advise regional GMs and senior leaders on workforce planning and talent management.
  • Partner with leaders to identify talent needs and develop workforce plans.
  • Design and support leadership development programs and coaching.
  • Lead talent review processes including assessments and succession discussions.
  • Support succession planning by identifying key talent and bench strength.
  • Provide guidance on complex employee relations investigations and risk mitigation.
  • Improve engagement, retention, culture, and employee experience.
  • Support change initiatives with stakeholder engagement and comms planning.
  • Prepare and support HR compliance reporting and policy updates.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to drive strategic HR initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce trends to inform business decisions.

Rigaku Americas is seeking a Human Resources Advisor to serve as a trusted advisor to Regional General Managers and senior leaders across the organization. Based in a dynamic global environment, this role provides both strategic and operational Human Resources support in the areas of leadership development, talent management, succession planning, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change management, compliance, and policy administration.

The Human Resources Advisor will play a key role in developing organizational capability, strengthening leadership effectiveness, improving employee engagement, and supporting business growth through effective people practices and talent strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Regional General Managers and senior leaders on workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and people strategy.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify talent needs and develop workforce plans that support organizational objectives.
  • Design, facilitate, and support leadership development programs, coaching initiatives, and learning opportunities to strengthen leadership capabilities across the organization.
  • Lead talent review processes, including talent assessments, succession discussions, performance calibration activities, and individual development planning.
  • Support succession planning efforts by identifying key talent, evaluating organizational bench strength, and helping leaders build future-ready talent pipelines.
  • Provide guidance and resolution support for complex employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with leaders to improve employee engagement, retention, organizational culture, and overall employee experience.
  • Support organizational change initiatives through leadership consultation, stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and employee transition activities.
  • Prepare, analyze, maintain, and support Human Resources compliance reporting, including Aff
  • Review, update, implement, and communicate Human Resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with business and HR leadership to drive strategic HR initiatives and organizational improvement efforts.
  • Analyze workforce trends and HR data to provide recommendations that support business performance and talent outcomes.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field. Required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience supporting business leaders and employees.
  • Experience supporting executive and senior leadership teams.
  • Experience facilitating leadership development programs, training initiatives, and employee learning activities.
  • Experience managing and resolving complex employee relations matters.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and multi-country employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency, including advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing workforce data and reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders on talent and organizational challenges.
  • Experience leading talent review, performance management, and succession planning processes.
  • Strong understanding of leadership development, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and change management principles.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

Preferred Experience Includes:
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, technology, scientific, engineering, industrial, or global organizations.
  • Experience leading talent review, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Experience supporting organizational change management efforts.
  • Experience preparing or managing AAP, EEO, and other regulatory compliance reporting.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or related HR certification.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed or international employee populations.
