Position Summary
The Human Resources Administrator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the Human Resources department under the direction of the HR Director. This position is responsible for day-to-day HR administration, Leave of Absence (LOA) and FMLA administration, HRIS maintenance, employee records, and benefits support, employee relations, compliance, and other HR-related functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, maintains strict confidentiality, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while providing professional and responsive support to employees and managers.
Essential Functions of the Position
LEAVE OF ABSENCE / FMLA ADMINISTRATION
- Administer Leave of Absence programs, including FMLA and other applicable company, federal, and state leaves.
- Manage leave requests from initial notification through return-to-work.
- Track employee leave, required documentation, eligibility, deadlines, intermittent leave, and return-to-work requirements.
- Coordinate FMLA certifications, recertifications, designation notices, and related documentation.
- Communicate with employees, managers, payroll, benefits, and HR leadership regarding leave status and required actions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential LOA and FMLA records.
- Assist with ADA accommodation processes and other protected leave requirements.
- Provide employees and managers with information regarding leave policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
HR ADMINISTRATION
- Perform daily HR administrative duties, including maintaining personnel files, processing employee changes, preparing HR documents, and responding to employee inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee information and records within UKG and other HRIS platforms.
- Process employee status changes, transfers, promotions, terminations, and personal information updates.
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, audits, and other documentation.
- Maintain confidential personnel and employment records in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
- Assist with HR policies, procedures, compliance, reporting, and recordkeeping.
BENEFITS
- Support benefits administration and employee benefit inquiries.
- Coordinate leave information with payroll and benefits to ensure accurate processing.
- Assist with employee status changes that impact payroll and benefits.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & COMPLIANCE
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality and documentation throughout employee relations processes.
- Assist with compliance related to FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, Workers’ Compensation, DOL requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate HR data and reporting related to absenteeism, turnover, leave, and other workforce metrics.
GENERAL HR SUPPORT
- Provide administrative support to the HR Director and HR team on special projects and initiatives.
- Assist with improving HR processes, procedures, documentation, and employee communications.
- Perform other HR administrative duties as assigned.
