Job summary

Hartland Park Health & Rehab seeks a skilled Human Resources Manager to lead daily HR operations at our Lexington facility, advising leadership, guiding employment practices, and coordinating recruitment in a regulated healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in HR or related field, several years of HR experience, strong confidentiality, and a track record of policy development and building an inclusive, compliant workplace with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible HR experience may be considered.
  • Emphasis in human resources management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and oversees day-to-day human resources operations for the facility.
  • Serves as the primary HR resource and advisor to the Administrator, department heads, supervisors, and employees.
  • Provides guidance to management regarding company HR policies, procedures, employment practices, and established HR processes.
  • Promotes consistent and appropriate application of HR policies and practices throughout the facility.
  • Identifies HR trends, risks, and areas of concern and works with facility and Regional/Consulting HR leadership to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Implements Consulting and Regional HR initiatives and ensures required facility-level follow-through.
  • Monitors the effectiveness and completion of HR processes and recommends improvements when appropriate.
  • Maintains effective communication with Regional and Consulting Human Resources regarding significant employee relations, compliance, staffing, and workforce matters.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and appropriate handling of employee and company information.
  • Oversees facility recruitment and hiring processes in coordination with Talent Acquisition and facility leadership.
  • Partners with the Administrator and department leaders to identify staffing needs and recruitment priorities.
  • Screens, interviews, and recommends qualified applicants as appropriate.
  • Develops and implements approved local recruitment and retention initiatives in partnership with facility and Regional leadership

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and progressively responsible Human Resources experience may be considered.
  • Emphasis in human resources management preferred.
  • Three years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Prior healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Experience providing employee relations and performance management guidance to supervisors and managers preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems, recruitment, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience handling confidential and sensitive employee matters required.
