Location: Birmingham, Alabama area

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is desired.
• At least five years of progressive HR experience, including at least two years in a Union environment.
• Strong understanding of Labor Law and experience administering Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all HR functions: Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Recruitment, Performance Management, and Compliance.
• Union Liaison: Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and promoting Fair and Consistent HR practices.
• Partner with Labor Union representatives to address grievances, negotiate terms, and support Labor-Management initiatives.
• Schedule and maintain status of all employee Training to ensure no training gaps for recurring and new training.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and union workforce needs.
• Ensure legal and contractual compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g. FMLA, FLSA, EEO, NLRA).

Compensation

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
