Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking an HRIS Manager to lead the optimization and day‑to‑day management of the Oracle Fusion HCM platform, including ORC. This role combines HR expertise with technical acumen to deliver scalable HR technology solutions that support Talent Acquisition, Core HR, and Talent Management across the organization.

The HRIS Manager will work as a primary liaison among HR, IT, Payroll, Benefits, and other stakeholders, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliant, efficient HR

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HRIS, HR technology, systems administration, or related experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise HRIS platforms, such as Oracle HCM, Workday, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar systems.
  • Oracle HCM experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, including employee lifecycle management, benefits, compensation, payroll interfaces, talent management, and reporting.
  • Experience with system integrations, data management, and HR reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a formal SDLC framework in a regulated environment, preferably banking, financial services, insurance, or other highly controlled industries.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, functional specifications, test plans, deployment procedures, and support documentation.
  • Strong understanding of development controls including version management, peer code reviews, segregation of duties, and release management.
  • Experience operating within formal IT Change Management processes aligned with industry frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, or equivalent governance models.
  • Demonstrated understanding of change controls, production migration processes, approval workflows, deployment governance, and release management practices required in regulated financial environments.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits, compliance reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory examinations related to technology controls and system governance.
  • Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day administration and optimization of HRIS platforms and related HR technology solutions.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and IT teams to identify business requirements and implement system enhancements.
  • Lead HRIS projects, including system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, security, and compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze HR reports, dashboards, metrics, and workforce analytics.
  • Manage system testing, including configuration changes, upgrades, and new functionality.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and post‑implementation support.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, functional specifications, test plans, deployment procedures, support documentation, and related system artifacts.
  • Operate within formal IT Change Management processes and governance frameworks to ensure controlled implementation of system changes.
  • Prepare, document, and present application changes through Change Advisory Board (CAB) or similar approval processes.
  • Perform impact assessments, risk analysis, rollback planning, deployment validation, and post‑implementation reviews for system enhancements, upgrades, and production changes.
  • Ensure adherence to development controls including version management, peer review processes, segregation of duties, release governance, and production migration standards.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve them efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, and training materials for HR system users.
  • Evaluate emerging HR technology trends and recommend solutions that improve HR operations and employee experience.
  • Support audits, compliance reporting, risk, vendor management, and data governance initiatives.
  • Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations related to technology processes, controls, system security, change management, and governance requirements.
  • Lead and develop HRIS team members, as applicable.

Rockland Trust is seeking an HR Systems Manager to lead the HRIS optimization, and day-to‑day management of our Oracle Fusion HCM platform, including Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC). As a key member of the HR team, this individual will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of HR systems, driving continuous improvement, system innovation, and business alignment across Talent Acquisition, Core HR, and Talent Management functions

Position Summary

The HRIS Manager is responsible for the strategic management, optimization, and support of the organization's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This role serves as the primary liaison between Human Resources, IT, Payroll, Benefits, and other business stakeholders to ensure HR technology solutions effectively support business objectives, enhance employee experiences, maintain data integrity, and drive operational efficiency.
