Job summary

MITY Inc. in Orem, Utah is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to manage payroll, benefits, leave administration, HRIS, and employee communications. The role supports a broad range of HR functions and partners with leaders to drive HR initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning recurring HR processes while delivering excellent service to employees and leaders. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Orem.

About the Role

We're looking for a Human Resources Generalist who enjoys keeping the important details running smoothly while also being a trusted resource for employees and leaders. This role supports a broad range of HR functions, including payroll, benefits, leave administration, HRIS management, employee communications, engagement initiatives, reporting, and day-to-day employee support. The right person will be organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of recurring HR processes while contributing to larger HR initiatives.

What You'll Own and Support

• Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and terminations.
• Process and administer biweekly payroll with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate and administer employee leave programs, including FMLA and other applicable leaves.
• Maintain accurate employee records and information within the HRIS.
• Serve as a resource for employees and leaders regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and general HR questions.
• Manage HR and Benefits Invoicing.
• Create and coordinate employee communications, including newsletters, company announcements, and employee-facing digital content.
• Coordinate employee recognition, birthdays, service anniversaries, engagement activities, wellness initiatives, and company events.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc HR reports for HR, Leadership, and Operations teams.
• Partner with HR and company leaders to support the development and implementation of policies, processes, and employee initiatives.
• Support HR projects and identify opportunities to improve processes and the overall employee experience.

What Will Help You Succeed

You'll be successful in this role if you have a strong foundation in HR practices and employment laws, experience working with HRIS and other HR systems, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience with payroll, benefits, and leave administration is required. We're looking for someone who is comfortable managing multiple priorities, pays close attention to detail, handles confidential information professionally, and enjoys providing great service to both employees and leaders. Previous experience coordinating training, employee engagement, or HR projects is a plus.
