Job description

Do you want to be on the cutting edge of the clean energy and climate tech industry? Are you excited about the intersection of renewable energy and the circular economy? We are too. And that's why we launched SOLARCYCLE, an advanced technology-based recycling company.

The solar industry needs a global end-of-life partner to restore, renew, and ultimately recycle yesterday's solar panels for tomorrow's clean energy projects. SOLARCYCLE aims to be the partner of choice for solar asset owners looking for a responsible solution to their end-of-life system needs. We need you to direct our field operations to help us become a leader in this burgeoning sector of the renewable energy industry.

About the role:

SOLARCYCLE's Government Affairs team is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Research Assistant to contribute to sustainability policy. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience analyzing public policy in the U.S., with skills in quantitative and qualitative research to find information, analyze legislation and regulations, create tables and figures, and develop memos and presentations.

Please include a one-page cover letter summarizing your relevant experience, along with a short sample of a research or analysis project demonstrating your skills. In your letter, explain your role and contributions in the project.

Responsibilities:
  1. Research and summarize data, legislation, regulations, and other documents efficiently.
  2. Analyze datasets using Microsoft Excel and create maps with GIS tools.
  3. Produce written summaries, tables, figures, or maps, and incorporate feedback.
  4. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education, Training, and Professional Experience:
  1. Experience using online research tools for peer-reviewed and grey literature.
  2. Proficiency in summarizing documents and writing analyses.
  3. Skills in basic data analysis with Microsoft Excel.
  4. Ability to quickly learn online tools like ArcGIS or HubSpot.
  5. One to two years of experience in environmental policy analysis.

If you don't meet every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be the perfect fit for this role.

You will work with a highly successful team delivering innovative work in the solar PV industry. Our mission is to create renewable supply chains and a secondary market for upcycled solar panels and recycled materials, contributing to a sustainable and scalable clean energy future.
