Job summary

Rimkus is a global engineering and technical consulting firm, seeking a Human Factors Associate Consultant to support qualitative research for medical devices and combination products. This in-person role is based at our Chatsworth, CA office.

You will conduct interviews, analyze data, develop study documentation, and prepare FDA submission materials. Requires postgraduate degree, 3–5+ years in research, and US work eligibility; travel about 25%.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree and related field
• Qualitative data analysis
• Writing: communicate effectively with technical writing to describe research plans and study results
• Interviewing: experience conducting one-on-one interviews with human subjects to collect data
• 3–5+ years in a similar research role
• Experience with medical devices and combination products

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop document-based deliverables (e.g., use-related risk documents, instructions for use, study protocols)
• Conduct interviews with representative users to collect qualitative data on devices
• Analyze observational and qualitative data and present findings to clients
• Prepare documentation to support FDA submissions or other regulatory bodies
