Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Research Assistant to support NSMRL's human factors program in Groton, CT. You will assist in planning, data collection, and analysis for both non-human and human subject studies, conduct literature reviews, and prepare protocols and briefing materials.

A SECRET clearance and US citizenship are preferred for federal contract compliance. Responsibilities include coordinating purchases, maintaining supplies, and producing technical reports and communications with government

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field.
• Technical proficiency in undersea acoustics and submarine sonar systems.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance; US citizenship required.
• Federal contract requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist NSMRL Principal Scientist with non-human subject experimental planning, data collection, and data analysis.
• Assist with human-subject experimental planning, data collection, and data analysis.
• Conduct literature searches and prepare bibliographies; assist with protocols, analyses, and briefing packages.
• Apply precise experimental methods to acquire human-subjects data.
• Prepare support documentation and purchase requisitions for approved purchases.
• Submit government purchase requests; coordinate with Materials Management and COR approval.
• Ensure efficient and economical use of supplies.
• Prepare, review, and disseminate communications with final Government approval.
• Provide planning and research support to projects, subject to approval.
• Maintain contacts to stay updated on developments in the field.
• Prepare and edit technical or periodic reports and correspondence.
