Job summary

Leidos LLC seeks a Research Assistant to join the Naval Submarine Research Laboratory (NSMRL) team in New London, Groton, CT. The role involves supporting research studies on health, performance, and hearing conservation for Naval personnel, with responsibilities spanning protocol development, data collection, and analyses.

You will interact with the PI and other researchers, assist in planning experiments, and coordinate recruitment and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to hearing science, acoustics, physics, or life sciences.
• Demonstrated research methods experience (Bachelors thesis or coursework).
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and oral forms with diverse audiences.
• Preference for those with current or prior SECRET clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required by federal contract.

Responsibilities

• Assist PI in human and non-human subject experimental planning and data collection.
• Develop protocols and prepare/test experimental equipment setups.
• Assist with audiology research and hearing protection device studies.
• Coordinate subject recruitment and ensure protocol execution.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for NSMRL programs.
• Support budget tracking and contract coordination as needed.
• Travel occasionally for data collection and collaborations.
