Job description

A leading provider of workplace health, ergonomics, and consulting services is seeking an experienced professional to join its growing consulting team. This individual will work directly with clients to design, implement, and support comprehensive ergonomics programs that improve employee wellbeing, enhance workplace performance, and reduce injury risk.

This highly visible, client-facing role requires strong expertise in ergonomics, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to consult with organizations across a wide range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

Client Consulting & Program Support

  • Serve as a trusted ergonomics advisor for client organizations.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments, audits, and workplace evaluations.
  • Develop and support sustainable ergonomics programs tailored to client needs.
  • Deliver recommendations that improve employee comfort, safety, and productivity.
  • Facilitate program development workshops and consulting engagements.

Training & Education

  • Design and deliver ergonomic training programs for employees, managers, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead public seminars, workshops, and customized training sessions.
  • Provide education and guidance on ergonomic principles, risk reduction strategies, and best practices.
  • Support internal teams with ergonomics expertise and technical knowledge.

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Participate in client meetings and support high-profile business opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of consulting proposals and service presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

Research & Operations

  • Contribute to research initiatives and emerging workplace wellness trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and project activities.
  • Monitor progress toward consulting activity and revenue objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors, Kinesiology, Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting ergonomic assessments and delivering workplace ergonomics solutions.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage confidently with executives, managers, and employees at all organizational levels.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics program development and injury prevention strategies.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client engagements and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CPE, CHFP, CSP, CEAS, AOEAS, or similar.
  • Experience in consulting, occupational health, safety, workplace wellness, or human factors.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level ergonomics programs.
  • Familiarity with workplace design and ergonomic product solutions.
