Qualifications

  • 3+ years of human-subject research in wearable devices or consumer electronics.
  • Experience designing and executing quantitative and qualitative studies.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, or R for data analysis.
  • Experience developing evaluation methods and lab instrumentation.
  • Hands-on experience prototyping wearable devices and measurement systems.
  • Ability to translate research into engineering requirements and design decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run studies to evaluate comfort, wearability, and user experience.
  • Collect and analyze ergonomic, anthropometric, and biomechanical data.
  • Develop measurement methods and protocols for wearability research.
  • Design, fabricate, and validate instrumented prototypes and fixtures.
  • Integrate sensing technologies into research platforms.
  • Support rapid product iterations through CAD modifications and testing.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, product design, and user research teams.
  • Build datasets, guidelines, and standardized research methods.
  • Document methods and findings to improve measurement quality.
