Job summary

Trilogy Federal seeks a Human Factors Engineer to apply usability, workflow, and human-centered design to healthcare information systems and EHR processes. The role supports Go-Live and ongoing optimization, collaborating with clinical, informatics, and technical teams. Candidates should have SAFe-Agile knowledge and a track record in healthcare IT usability.

The position is a 9-month contract with possible extension, and travel may be required. A Public Trust clearance is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional human factors or usability experience.
• Experience evaluating systems for usability, safety, and user effectiveness.
• Ability to translate user needs into actionable recommendations.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and SAFe Lean-Agile practices.
• Willingness to obtain Public Trust clearance and potential travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct usability and workflow assessments of healthcare systems and EHRs.
• Apply HFE and human-centered design to identify issues and improvements.
• Perform task analyses, usability testing, interviews, and observations.
• Facilitate demonstrations and translate findings into recommendations.
• Support Go-Live, stabilization, and end-user optimization activities.
• Document risks, recommendations, and improvement strategies for stakeholders.
