Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. seeks a Data Program Manager in the Human Data team to drive complex data collection programs, coordinating with researchers, operations, and external vendors. You will ensure high-quality data for training and evaluation, acting as a key interface between vendors and AI trainers.

You will define success criteria, calibrate trainers, and continuously improve tooling and processes while maintaining a fast-paced, high-ambition environment in the San Francisco HQ.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in data or program management.
• Experience coordinating with researchers, operations and engineering teams.
• Ability to define success criteria and write clear instructions for data collection.

Responsibilities

• Partner with research teams, operations and engineering to run complex data collection programs.
• Interface with external vendors and AI trainers to ensure data quality.
• Gather requirements, write instructions, define success criteria, and calibrate AI trainers.
• Use internal tooling to assess labeled data and provide feedback to trainers.
• Propose tooling and process improvements to enhance quality and throughput.
