Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises seeks an experienced Hull Technician Contract Instructor to support the Surface Warfare Schools Command in Norfolk, VA. You will lead classroom and lab instruction in Advanced Welding, NDT methods, and Ultrasonic Inspection, using government simulators and TTE to train Sailors.

Required are Navy instructor training, 3+ years in the field, 2+ years in a military training environment, and shipboard experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a Graduate of Advanced Welding (A-701-0027) and NDT / Ultrasonic Inspector certifications.
• Must have Navy Instructor Training Course CIN A-012-0077 (NEC 9502) or equivalent instructing course.
• Minimum 3 years technical experience in the subject matter to instruct.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Military Training Environment.
• Former Senior HT (E5-E9) with recent shipboard experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety, welding, NDT, and ultrasonic inspections used shipboard.

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom of students through group-paced instruction of Advanced Welding, NDT methods, and Ultrasonic Inspector topics.
• Operate Government simulators and Technical Training Equipment (TTE) to deliver course content and assess performance.
• Provide critiques, maintain student records, conduct remediation and retest when necessary.
