Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking an experienced Hull Technician Contract Instructor. The HT Instructor will provide support to the Surface Warfare Schools Command, Norfolk, VA, and lead a classroom of students through Advanced Welding and NDT instruction with assessments.

The role includes operating government simulators and training equipment, maintaining student records, and conducting remediation and retests as needed in a demanding naval environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Advanced Welding and NDT/Ultrasonic Inspector certifications.
• Must have Navy Instructor Training Course or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years technical experience in the subject matter.
• Minimum 2 years in a Military Training Environment.
• Former Senior HT (E5-E9) with recent shipboard experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge in safety, welding, NDT, and ultrasonic inspection.

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom of students through group-paced classroom and laboratory instruction of Advanced Welding, NDT of Metals Visual Magnetic Particle Liquid Penetrants and Ultrasonic Inspector, and assess competence.
• Operate Government furnished simulators, Technical Training Equipment (TTE) and other computer-based training, provide critiques, maintain student records, remediation and retest when necessary.
