MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Hull Structural Engineer to join our team at the Washington D.C. Navy Yard. This hybrid position requires 3 days onsite per week and supports Nimitz and Ford class ship design programs.

You will provide technical assessment, risk analysis, and responses to technical inquiries, coordinate with engineering authorities and shipyards, and help manage design changes. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, or Science.
• 7+ years of experience with US Navy vessels, structures, coatings, corrosion, and/or topside design.
• Experience reading and writing technical documentation.
• Experience communicating with senior government or military leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and risk assessment for ship design decisions.
• Coordinate with TYCOM, NavalShipyards, and SEM for Ship Alterations and SCD reviews.
• Review reports and responses for PMS changes and other technical inquiries.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical matters.
