Job summary

Vicinia Property Management seeks a Community Manager to oversee on-site operations at our residential communities. The role focuses on maximizing net operating income, maintaining assets, and ensuring a quality living environment for residents, while supervising on-site staff under limited supervision.

HUD experience is required; strong communication, organizational and leadership skills are essential. The ideal candidate has leasing experience in multi-family or hospitality and familiarity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum one year residential property management experience, supervisory responsibilities; 2+ years preferred.
• HUD experience required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Prefer sales/leasing experience in multi-family or hospitality industry.
• Marketing and budgeting experience preferred.
• Computer literacy with property management or accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Provides information about apartments and schedules visits; leases at established rental rates.
• Prepares and assists with leasing paperwork and employment/credit checks.
• Collects security deposits, rent and other funds; safeguards monies.
• Monitors marketing effectiveness; collaborates on promotions and ad campaigns.
• Aims to meet or exceed resident satisfaction benchmarks.
• Maintains knowledge of rent, pricing, market comps and vacancies.
• Ensures vacant apartments are market-ready with repairs as needed.
• Trains and supervises on-site staff; conducts performance reviews.
• Leads staff meetings and participates in management meetings.
• Coaches staff on site tools and processes; handles disciplinary actions when needed.
• Monitors lease renewals and adjusts rents/fees per budget and market conditions.
