Job summary

Aoka is seeking independent Inspectors to support HUD Office of Healthcare Programs (OHP) projects. Inspectors perform monthly HUD-OHP inspections of new construction and substantial rehabilitation of senior living and care facilities, validating work meets contract requirements.

Each on-site inspection takes up to 1.5 hours with 30–45 minutes reporting, and training on our inspection process and VertexPlans is provided.

Qualifications

ICC certification or PE/architect license or 2+ years housing inspection.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to travel monthly to project sites.
Comfort with digital reporting and photos.

Responsibilities

Travel to assigned project sites once per month to conduct monthly HUD-OHP inspections.
Coordinate and schedule on-site inspections with property owners, contractors, and project teams.
Inspect units and common areas for compliance with HUD-OHP guidelines and contract requirements.
Document findings accurately in our inspection software, Vertexplans, including photos, deficiencies, and required follow-up actions.
Prepare and submit complete, timely HUD-OHP inspection reports that meet HUD-OHP and company requirements.
Communicate clearly with our team regarding inspection results and any issues identified on site.
