Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA, is hiring a HUC-Nursing Assistant to support patient care during night shifts.

Pay rate will be determined by experience; new hire sign-on bonus of $1,200 is available. Responsibilities include basic care, hygiene, mobility, and coordination of unit services under supervision, with every other weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Over three months of related work experience required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID-19 virus or have an approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
• Coordinate ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment and supplies.
• Support the Manager, Patient Care and care team in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient patient environment under supervision.

We are searching for a talented HUC-Nursing Assistant

*$1,200 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours:32hrs

Shift: Night shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation; 11:00pm - 7:00am

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under general supervision of Manager, Patient Care or Designee, perform a variety of office, secretarial and other related duties both within and in support of assigned unit as well as a variety of patient care duties including basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintaining patient environment, etc. Responsible for efficient and effective coordination of services which ensure completion of daily activities of individual assigned nursing unit. Plan, organize, and direct all unit patient focused support activities including but not limited to coordinating ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment/supplies. Assist the Manager, Patient Care or Designee with patient care and other related duties and responsibilities as directed.

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Computer skills including knowledge of the computer system and related secretarial experience are preferred.
• Over three months of related work experience required.
• Current CPR Certification.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
