Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to join the patient care team at Charlton Memorial Hospital. The role offers an evening shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) with weekend and holiday rotation, and a 24-hour schedule.

New hire sign-on bonus of $900 applies to this position. The successful candidate will provide basic care and support under supervision, maintain patient environments, and assist licensed staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
• Nursing Assistant Training Program is preferred.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in MA is required.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Three months experience in acute or long-term care is preferred.
• Vaccination against seasonal flu and COVID-19 is required or an approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and nutritional support under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
• Assist licensed staff in related duties and patient care tasks.
• Support patients and families with information and comfort as needed.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of individually assigned Manager, Patient Care Services or designee, perform a variety of duties including basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintain patient environment, and provide assistance to licensed staff in carrying out other related duties, etc.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Training Program is preferred.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the equivalent is required.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Three (3) months experience in an acute care or long term setting is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $19.37 - USD $26.80 /Hr.
