Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA for a 32-hour night shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The role includes basic care, mobility support, hygiene, and maintaining a safe patient environment under supervision.

The successful candidate will have MA Nursing Assistant Certification, CPR, and the new hire sign-on bonus of $1,200. Vaccination requirements apply or approved exemptions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Over three months of related work experience required.
• Computer skills and related secretarial experience are preferred.
• Vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 as required unless exempt, per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and related duties under supervision.
• Coordinate unit patient-focused support activities and equipment/supplies requests.
• Assist Manager/Designee with patient care duties as directed.

We are searching for a talented

HUC-Nursing Assistant

• $1,200 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours: 32hrs

Shift: Night shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation; 11:00pm - 7:00am

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of Manager, Patient Care or Designee, perform a variety of office, secretarial and other related duties both within and in support of assigned unit as well as a variety of patient care duties including basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintaining patient environment, etc. Responsible for efficient and effective coordination of services which ensure completion of daily activities of individual assigned nursing unit. Plan, organize, and direct all unit patient focused support activities including but not limited to coordinating ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment/supplies. Assist the Manager, Patient Care or Designee with patient care and other related duties and responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Computer skills including knowledge of the computer system and related secretarial experience are preferred.
• Over three months of related work experience required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $19.67 - USD $26.72 /Hr.
