Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking a HUC - Nursing Assistant in Fall River, MA. The role involves supporting patient care under supervision, assisting with daily activities, and coordinating equipment and supplies to ensure efficient unit operations.

The position includes a $1,500 new hire sign-on bonus for this role. Shifts are flexible within 7:30am–4:00pm or 8:00am–4:30pm, with a 32-40 hour schedule at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification in Massachusetts is required.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Basic computer skills including Meditech preferred.
• Over three months of related work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nursing and patient care duties under supervision to support assigned unit.
• Coordinate ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining patient environment and daily activities to ensure quality care.

Hours: 32 flex 40hrs

Shift: Flexible shifts and hours, 7:30am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of Manager, Patient Care or Designee, perform a variety of office, secretarial and other related duties both within and in support of assigned unit as well as a variety of patient care duties including basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintaining patient environment, etc. Responsible for efficient and effective coordination of services which ensure completion of daily activities of individual assigned nursing unit. Plan, organize, and direct all unit patient focused support activities including but not limited to coordinating ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment/supplies. Assist the Manager, Patient Care or Designee with patient care and other related duties and responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses and training.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Computer skills including knowledge of the Meditech computer system and related secretarial experience are preferred.
• Over three months of related work experience required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range USD $19.37 - USD $26.80 /Hr.
