Job summary

Goodwill Central Oklahoma is seeking a Material Handler to operate in our busy hub. You will unload donated goods from incoming trucks, prepare items for processing, and reload them for transport to outlets or salvage markets.

This role is physically demanding and requires adherence to safety protocols, completion of daily quotas, and accurate handling of items across retail, outlet, and salvage streams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Equipment operation experience preferred, i.e., pallet jacks, baler, tipper, forklift, etc.
• Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
• Reliable transportation and communication, required.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks and trailers containing raw donations, staging materials for processing.
• Load processed goods and pallets onto outbound trailers with proper bracing.
• Verify counts and destinations against transfer logs or bills of lading.
• Maintain a safe dock area and ensure trailers are secured before movement.
• Sort, grade, and categorize donations on a central line for highend retail, outlets, or salvage.
• Operate balers to compress textiles and other materials for bulk transport.
• Meet daily pounds-per-hour or bins-processed quotas.
• Load/unload trailers using pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Perform pre-operation inspections on hub equipment; report issues.
• Support centralized e-waste and recycling programs complying with safety guidelines.
