Job summary

Maola Local Dairies is seeking an HTST Operator for a 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, occasional half shift Saturdays) to ensure pasteurization and homogenization with strict adherence to GMP and HACCP policies.

You will operate pasteurizers, monitor fats and solids, and maintain documentation and area paperwork in a dairy production environment while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or international education equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing or food processing experience preferred.
• Prior HTST experience/controls preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, thermometers, pressure gauges, and flow meters.
• Basic math and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Batch and pasteurize in the production of finished dairy goods.
• Monitor the dairy production process and follow SOPs; report deficiencies.
• Ensure pre-operational, start-up, and in-process monitoring per HACCP.
• Operate homogenizing and pasteurizing equipment; adjust and troubleshoot as needed.
• Follow batching schedule; use batch sheets as formulation source.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, QA, and GMP during pasteurizing.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment including CIP/SIP and housekeeping.
• Monitor water flush systems and air blows to maximize butterfat recovery and minimize waste.
