Job summary

AMD in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Hardware Reliability Engineer to drive end-to-end HTOL and Burn-in initiatives for next-gen datacenter processors and GPUs. You will own BIB hardware design, stress-program development, and data-driven validation across cross-functional teams.

Prospects include hardware verification, test automation, and collaboration with offshore labs to ensure robust silicon reliability that meets AMD requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on HTOL/BI testing methods and board design.
• Experience with burn-in stress testing and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python or C++ scripting for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Design high-power Burn-In Boards (BIBs) for CPUs/GPUs early in development.
• Collaborate with PCB fabrication and socket manufacturers on board development.
• Define HTOL/BI pattern requirements and develop stress programs.
• Integrate patterns into stress software, debug, and maintain test code.
• Lead hardware validation of First Article boards for HTOL and Burn‑in.
• Communicate with offshore labs and participate in data-driven optimization.
• Support ESD/Latch-up tests and DOE experiments for burn-in optimization.
