Job summary

Fermi America is seeking a detail-focused Case Manager / Safety Administrator to support the HSSE program on the Fermi Matador construction project. You will manage injury cases, coordinate medical treatment, and oversee the return-to-work process while ensuring confidentiality and OSHA compliance.

You will also handle document control, training tracking, data reporting, and system administration for safety software, working closely with site clinic, HR, and supervision.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health administration, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
  • 3+ years in safety administration, medical case management, workers’ compensation, or HSSE coordination, ideally in construction or industrial settings.
  • Strong recordkeeping, data-entry, and document-control skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping (29 CFR 1904) and injury / illness case-management practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and EHS / safety-management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential medical and personnel information with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Injury & illness case coordination. Serve as the primary point of contact for work-related injury and illness cases; coordinate medical treatment, transportation, and follow-up appointments with the site clinic and occupational health providers.
  • Return-to-work program. Administer the return-to-work and modified / light-duty program; track work restrictions and coordinate suitable duty with supervisors and HR.
  • Workers' compensation interface. Coordinate with the workers’ compensation carrier and third-party administrator; assemble case documentation, track claim status, and support cost-containment efforts.
  • Case files & confidentiality. Maintain organized case files and status logs; handle medical and personal information confidentially and in compliance with applicable OSHA and privacy requirements.
  • OSHA recordkeeping. Support recordability determinations and maintain the OSHA 300 / 300A / 301 logs and supporting records.
  • Document control. Maintain the HSSE document-control system — controlled procedures, plans, forms, permits, and inspection records — ensuring current revisions, version control, and easy retrieval.
  • Training & certification tracking. Track workforce orientations, certifications, and competency records; flag upcoming expirations and schedule refreshers.
  • Data & reporting. Compile HSSE metrics (leading and lagging indicators), incident logs, and inspection data; prepare recurring reports and dashboards for HSSE leadership.
  • Systems administration. Administer safety / observation and workforce-tracking software; manage user access, data entry, and periodic audits of records.
  • Meetings & audit support. Coordinate safety meetings and committee minutes, maintain required regulatory postings, and support internal and external audit preparation.
  • Supplies & logistics. Track PPE and safety-supply inventory and support related purchasing and logistics as needed.
