Job summary

Maersk Line Limited seeks an HSSE Business Partner of Safety at its Elizabeth, NJ terminal to strengthen health, safety, security, and environment performance. You will embed safety systems, oversee risk management, and coach leadership on best practices, driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years senior HSSE experience, IOSH membership preferred, and the ability to obtain TWIC/Port Access credentials.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
3–5 years of senior‑level health and safety experience with a proven track record.
Experience leading and developing teams and influencing stakeholders.
Strong expertise in HSSE management systems and regulatory compliance.
IOSH membership with chartered status preferred.
Excellent coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain regulatory‑compliant HSSE programs and plans.
Embed HSSE priorities into operational planning and resource allocation.
Coach managers and employees to strengthen safety leadership.
Lead risk identification, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Monitor contractor and supplier compliance with HSSE standards.
Deliver HSSE training, coaching, and capability building initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement across HSSE management systems.
