Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking an HSS Superintendent for Nevada projects. You will lead occupational health, safety, and security programs, embedding a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and state requirements.

You will partner with Operations and Project teams to drive risk mitigation, training, and incident prevention across the site. The role requires extensive experience in surface mining safety, strong leadership, and the ability to manage regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or related discipline preferred.
• Certified MSHA Instructor required or ability to obtain.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety & Health Manager (CSHM), or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of health and safety leadership experience within the U.S. mining industry, preferably in Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership and culture across Nevada Projects.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA and state/federal requirements.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Maintain Safety Management Information Systems (SMIS) and risk data analysis.
• Deliver MSHA New Miner training and site safety orientations.
