Job summary

Roquette, a family-owned global leader in plant-based ingredients, seeks an HSE Technician in Keokuk, IA to support safety, health and environmental programs. You will inspect facilities, ensure OSHA/compliance, and collaborate with managers to drive improvements.

The role involves field sampling, data management, training staff, and maintaining safety system inventories. Full-time daily hours with emphasis on regulatory compliance (OSHA, NPDES, Title V).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
• 1-3 years of safety technician or related experience.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Enviance desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiar with NPDES & Title V IDNR permitting process.
• Ability to collect, track and present data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Support managers in evaluating safety programs and suggest improvements.
• Know and document state, OSHA, and federal regulations.
• Perform routine sampling and data collection for environmental reporting.
• Manage inventory of safety systems.
• Train personnel in safe work practices.
• Develop manuals and documentation on HSE issues.
• Assist with hazard evaluation and control measures.
• Maintain professional competence in EHS field.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure training.
• Assist with HSE audits and reviews.
• Keep HSE records in data management system.
• Perform other related duties.
